If you’re looking for the perfect branch for your dog, you’ve just found it! Kishauwau Cabins offers four dog-friendly cabins in Illinois just a 10-minute drive from Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. Additionally, Kishauwau Cabins is a dog shelter with plenty of room to walk/stroll. If your dog’s lifestyle and behavior conforms to the rules below, we will be happy to welcome you and your dog here at Kisauwa.
Our four dog-friendly cabins offer a spacious studio atmosphere with one queen bed as well as a pull-out futon in the living area. All can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults/2 younger children. These popular cabins fill up quickly, so book as soon as possible, especially for the summer months. The Commanche, Winnebago and Zonta cabins offer large whirlpool tubs in the bathrooms for added luxury. Our mother’s kennel is the cheapest kennel because it has a standard tub/shower combo. We only allow our guests with dogs to book these cabins unless there are no other cabins available that can accommodate your group.
Dog-friendly Vacations Across The United States
Each dog adds an additional $25 plus tax per night to the reservation. When you book online, you must add the number of pets. Unfortunately, dogs are the only pets we allow in our cabins near Starved Rock. A maximum of two dogs can stay per cabin and each dog pays per night.
We have a total of 17 cabins on the Kishauwau property and unfortunately not all of them are dog lovers. Many people are afraid of dogs or have serious allergies. If we have to spend extra time cleaning your cabin because of your dogs, your card will be charged accordingly.
Please agree to the following rules before booking with your dog. You can do this by making a note in the comments section when you book online or directly to us if you book by phone.
Don’t forget to go to state parks with your dog. They welcome your dog on their miles of hiking trails, as long as you keep them on a leash. So check out Starved Rock State Park or Matthiessen State Park. Some trails may not be suitable for dogs, so be sure to check this before you come.
