This wide sandy beach is popular with dog walkers all year round. Set against a backdrop of grassy canals and nature reserves, the iconic Thurlestone Rock overlooks the coastline and Bigbury Bay. Low tide exposes rock pools that offer rock climbing and attractions. There is a beach big enough to walk on at high tide and a nature reserve with wooden bridges and walking paths. At the other end of the beach is the National Trust car park, which has a popular beach cafe and toilets.
