Dog Friendly Vacations In Pa – On our way to and from the BlogPaws conference in Kansas City, we stopped in the quiet, historic town of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. It’s a very dog-friendly little town with a beautiful river running through it. The city is also home to Lock Haven University, a college of less than 4,000 students. The William Clinger Riverwalk is a beautiful boardwalk that stretches 1.25 miles along the river. The river is actually the river that protects Lock Haven from the West Branch Susquehanna River.
The Riverwalk is a beautiful boardwalk that is very dog friendly and perfect for long walks. We love visiting Lock Haven because the river trail provides a great way for us and the dogs to get some good exercise and a fun time when we stop on long trips. I would definitely visit this dog friendly town to walk this beautiful river!

Lock Haven is not exactly a crowded town. There are small shops and restaurants, but it is a very quiet, small university town. We love you. It’s peaceful and quiet, you can enjoy the riverside and the beautiful architecture without worrying about people or looking for a parking space.
Some parts of the city seem a bit more serious, but there’s still a lot of beauty to enjoy – especially that beautiful river!

Finding this town and hotel was one of those happy accidents that happened while planning a cross country trip with two dogs! We have stayed at the Best Western 4 times over the past few years and love it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they are definitely pet friendly!
