Dog Friendly Cabin Qld – If you’re looking to travel with your dog in Queensland but don’t have your own leash or tent, a good option is to stay in a pet-friendly cabin, usually in a park. Although most cabins unfortunately do not allow pets, I have tracked down many pet friendly cabins in Queensland from southern state to northern Queensland.

Granite Belt South Queensland is a great place for dogs to visit, including the central town of Stanthorpe. Top of the Town Tourist Park, on the outskirts of town, offers a wide range of accommodation options for pet owners, including affordable pet cabins.
Queensland Pet-friendly Holiday Rentals
The selected standard cabin is pet friendly. Each studio cabin sleeps up to four people, with one double bed and two twin beds, as well as a kitchen and living room. There is also a pet-friendly family cabin, which usually has a large bed and a wood heater in a separate room.
The park is a short drive from downtown and includes a pool, playroom, covered BBQ area and plenty of room for your kids to run around the park.
If you like going on a beach holiday with your kids in Queensland, the Gold Coast dog park is Kira Beach Tourist Park. A short drive to the beach (and a short drive to Palm Beach Dog Beach), dogs are allowed year-round in limited power locations, as well as good dog cabins.
Two spacious two-bedroom cabins are installed as common for dogs. Each stateroom’s balcony is enclosed and surrounded by pet netting which is perfect for a relaxing meal, perhaps using a balcony barbecue. Inside there are two bedrooms with capacity for four people, as well as a kitchen with a dishwasher and a bathroom.

North Stradbroke Island is one of the best dog-friendly islands on the Queensland coast, with pets allowed on sailing and offshore beaches, as well as offshore beaches on the island. A classic option is a beach camp, accessible only by 4×4, but also a pet-friendly cabin in North Stradbrook.
Book your stay at Sea Shanties at Amity Point on the northern tip of the island. Five of its eight cabins are pet-friendly with well-behaved dogs. The elegantly appointed cabin can accommodate two to six guests, and each room has its own kitchenette and kitchen.

The car park is a personal off-street dog car park with speed equipment, and there is a K9000 dog wash outside the building, essential for cleaning up after a sand trip. There is also a boat dock on site, a popular area for fishing and kayaking.
Heading further north, book accommodation at BIG4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park for more pet-friendly cabins in Queensland. Just as allowed in their powered campsites, pets are also allowed in the designated pet-friendly cabins.
Each open-plan cabin can accommodate up to four people, with twin and double beds. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom with all linens.

The park is located in Point Vernon. While dogs are allowed on most beaches in the Hervey Bay area, the beaches at Point Vernon are mostly leash-free. There are three separate areas between Applin Street and Pines Park near the parking lot.

The parking lot is a few meters from Nelson Park, located north of Fred Kotis Avenue. Dogs are also allowed on leashes on the stretch of Praia de Bargara that you enter from the esplanade, although look for some signs that no dogs are allowed.
Mt Larcom Tourist Park is a great place for pets to stay while driving north through Queensland. The park is located off the Bruce Highway near Gladstone.
As is allowed at all powered and non-powered locations in the park, pets may also join you in the park cabin as long as they are announced at the time of booking. Up to two pets are allowed per stateroom, including inside, as long as they are kept off the bed. Please note that cats and kittens under 6 months of age must be kept indoors.
The park has two car parks suitable for cable cars. One to see the sunrise, you have to visit this “big frame” for the sunrise. There is also a second area on the other side, downstairs, just be aware that both are unoccupied. Poop bags are also provided at each bin point and pet towels can be requested from the office.

One of the best pet friendly parks to stay in within the city of Charters Towers is Dalrymple Tourist Van Park, located 2km north of the city centre. The park supports golf courses, which are off-road areas, and even offers petting zoos.
The park has a swimming pool, garden views and a budget cabin. Each room can accommodate 4 or 6 people, with two or queen beds, one or two suites, a small kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Contact the park in advance to request a pet-friendly cabin for an additional $10 per pet per night.
Cairns are a parking lot for many dogs, although many do not allow pets in their cabins. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly cabin, make a reservation at Cairns Coolwaters Holiday Park.
The park is located next to the magnificent Gomboora Park, which has a large enclosed area as well as a popular dog pool. The park is also the venue for the Rainforest Creek Walk.
