Best Dog Friendly Vacations Texas – One of the most common questions I get is if the scenic spots I visit in the Texas area are dog friendly! And, best of all, it’s one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll find. In fact, the owners live nearby and their two dogs roam the garden and will probably bark at the tree house!

There is no wifi here, but there is a grill, toilet, shower and small fridge, so I connect working on site and unplugging. Also, the sounds of nature are here at a high level, especially the “psychic song” that can be heard from the beautiful lily pond that can be seen from the forest.

This contemporary retreat is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country outside of Dripping Springs. Here at Lucky Arrow Retreat ($10 off Hipcamp for new users) they include yurts, cabins and bungalows depending on the size of your party and the type of experience you want. If you really want to see it, yurts like the one below are the best option for you.

Each can accommodate up to two people and has access to a shared bathroom nearby. For something a little more hotel-like, there are courtyard cabins, air-conditioned cabins and balcony cabins, each of which can accommodate four guests and has its own bathroom.

Although this property is dog and cat friendly, you will need to pay $150 per pet, which you can do at the Hipcamp check-in (which will ensure that you get into one of the dog-related pets selected).

If you’ve been sleeping in a convertible shipping container, then FlopHouze Shipping Container Storage in Round Top, TX is what you’ve been looking for. Sit around the fire pit and enjoy the amazing stars, soak in their hot tub and head into town for lots of vintage shopping.

If you’re looking for a great time, book your spot at the Round Top Antique Show (book early because people come from all over!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!

The lodge at Greenleaf, near Bastrop, has four luxury yurts. If you’re bringing your pets, their pet-friendly yurt is The Copper Lily (get a $10 discount from Hipcamp for new users).

South Padre Island Dog Friendly Hotels And Activities

The yurt sleeps up to 4 people and features amenities including a full private bathroom and miles of hiking trails. They even offer a tour of the box office for an additional $25. As well as kayak rentals available upon request!

Ranch 3232 offers unique Texas Hill Country accommodations including cabin rentals, air-conditioned cabins, RV sites, camping and Gypsy Wagons (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). The property is also conveniently located in Johnson City, just 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, so it’s perfect if you want to hike and explore the state park during your stay.

My favorite is the Bird House, their small cabin, although I will only hang a solo (+ dog). It is too small! If you are looking for something large, cabinets are a great choice. At the time of writing, their cozy cabin does not allow dogs.

It is always best to check which rooms at each location allow pets, as sometimes not all rooms in the property do and policies can change!

7 Dog-friendly Weekend Getaways In Texas — Houston Portrait Studio

Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin offers luxury safari style cabins that sleep 3-6 guests, depending on the cabin you choose ($10 off Hipcamp for new users). Each room on the property has some cabins with their own private hot tubs, among other amenities such as fireplaces.

Secret Cove in Canyon Lake, TX is the best place to stay if you want to go tubing in the summer! Their accommodations range from cottages, tipis, cabins, and luxury tents to RV sites and tents (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, go tubing on the nearby Guadalupe River, catch a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.

If you come by pet, you’ll find that they have several nice dog-friendly options, including their safari lodges (a personal favorite), their game lodges, and some cabins.
