Madison County is the capital of Iowa with a covered bridge. This county has the largest complex of covered bridges in one place! Since many of the bridges are accessible on dirt roads, leave the camper behind at the campsite while you explore.
In six years of RVing with our pets, when I think of the place that surprised me the most, it was the Kansas chalk pyramids foot. Not many tourists know about this place, but now the secret is out! Located in the western part of Gove County, Kansas are Monument Rocks. It is a series of large monoliths known as pyramids. Dogs are allowed on a leash and you feel like you are in another world. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Being from Florida, we love the beach! But after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore with Brickle and Digby, I know lake life! Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has miles of beaches and cliffs that rise above Lake Michigan. As with many places, some beaches do not allow dogs, so ask the friendly park staff, get a map or search online. We found that Brickle and Digby have more places to go on this beautiful beach than we thought. However, please note that for safety reasons it is not allowed to enter the dune with a dog.

Meet the giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe The Blue Ox and enjoy an exciting event. This roadside attraction has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988.
