Located in a quiet part of the park, Riverwalk sites are designed for additional space and freedom, where you can set up your own barbecue.

As well as our dedicated linked areas in the park, there are several local walks to enjoy including Spit Beach (20 minutes drive), Damian Ledding Memorial Park and the Nerang River Dog Walk ( 10 minutes drive).

Dogs staying at Big4 Gold Coast Resorts must be vaccinated on arrival.
Dogs are not allowed in the pool areas, Nibbles Cafe and water parks. Dogs are welcome at Nibbles Terrace.
Please remember that we also love our koalas and kangaroos and ask that you respect their habitat and that you do not leave your dog on a leash at any time in the park, except in off-leash areas.

Unfortunately, while many cottages are pet-free, I have found a wide range of pet-friendly cottages in Queensland, from the southern state to the Far North of Queensland.

The southern wine region of Queensland’s granite belt is a great place to visit with dogs, including the central town of Stanthorpe. Located on the outskirts of town, Top of the Town Resort offers a variety of pet-friendly accommodations, including affordable pet-friendly cottages.
Pets are allowed in some standard cabins. Each studio cabin sleeps up to four people, with a double bed and bunk beds, as well as a kitchenette and bathroom. There are also pet-friendly family cabins, which usually have a double bed in a separate bedroom and a wood heater.

The park is a short drive from the town center and includes a swimming pool, games room, covered barbecue area and plenty of space to walk your dog surrounded by bush.
If you’re heading to the beach rather than holidaying with your dog in Queensland, the Gold Coast dog caravan park is Kira Beach Holiday Park. A short walk to the beach (and a short drive to Palm Beach Dog Beach), dogs are allowed year-round in select electrified areas and excellent dog-friendly kennels.
Two spacious cabins with two bedrooms are designed to accommodate dogs. Each cabin has an enclosed and pet-proof fenced balcony, ideal for lounging and perhaps dining using the balcony grill. Inside there are two bedrooms for four people, as well as a kitchen with a dishwasher and a bathroom.
Please note that normally only one small dog is allowed per booking and they must be up to date on their vaccinations. There is an additional cleaning fee of $32. The park also has a self-service dog wash and pet drinking fountain and is adjacent to a comfortable lawn.

Another great dog caravan park on the Gold Coast is BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park. The Gold Coast’s most dog-friendly caravan park has agility equipment, a doggy washroom known as the Doggy Pampering Palace and a huge fenced-in dog park with dog kennels.
At least 20 of the park’s pet kennels welcome dogs. Pet-friendly options include studios, cozy cottages, cozy cottages, two-bedroom cottages, two-bedroom family cottages, bungalows and two-bedroom terraces for two to six people. Pets are not allowed in motel rooms and some large villas. If you’re not sure, double check at the park or on their website (look for paw prints).
Two calm, well-behaved dogs are allowed to join at no extra charge by booking in advance. Please let the park know you are bringing your pet at the time of booking and bring vaccination records with you.
North Stradbroke Island is one of the dog-friendly islands off the Queensland coast, with pet-friendly ferries, outdoor beaches and island beaches. The classic option is camping on 4WD-only beaches, but North Stradbroke also has pet-friendly lodges.

Book accommodation at the Sea Shanties at Amity Point on the northern tip of the island. Five of their eight cabins are pet-friendly, and their dogs are well-behaved. Modernly decorated cabins accommodate two to six guests, each with its own kitchen and private bathroom.
While the cottages offer coastal or garden views, they all have access to the seafront across the grounds, including an outdoor seaside kitchen and barbecue area.
Just a three-hour drive north of central Brisbane to Great Sandy, but away from the city, the quiet and peaceful Poona Palms holiday park is special.

The caravan park has its own dog park with agility equipment and outside the amenities building there is a K9000 dog washing machine which is essential for cleaning up after sandy adventures. There is also a boat launch on site and the area is popular for fishing and crabbing.
Head north for pet-friendly cottages in Queensland, book your stay at BIG4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park. In addition to allowing pets in their powered campsites, pets are also allowed in some pet-friendly cabins.
Each open cabin can accommodate four guests, with double beds and bunk beds. Kitchenette and bathroom, all linens included.
The park is conveniently located in Point Vernon. While most beaches in the Hervey Bay area allow dogs off leash, Point Vernon’s beach is mostly off-leash. There are three separate crossings, including the section between Eplin Street and Pines Park, which is close to the parking lot.

Heading north, Bargara is a popular beach destination near Bundaberg. If you’re looking to holiday with your dog, consider booking accommodation at BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Bargara and their pet-friendly cottages.
Dogs can stay in full cabins, including four- or six-person open-plan cabins, five-person one-bedroom cabins, and six- or seven-person two-bedroom cabins. One small dog is allowed per cabin.
When making your reservation, be sure to let us know if you will be bringing a dog to the park in order to assign you the appropriate cabin. A surcharge of USD 50 applies for the entire stay.
The caravan park is a few meters from the Neilson Park dog park at the north end of Fred Kutis Avenue. Dogs can also be kept in the parts of Bargara Beach accessible via the Esplanade, but be aware of several signs indicating that dogs are not allowed.
