Top 10 Best Pet Friendly Hotels In Fort Bliss, Tx
First of all, it’s one of the best places you’ll ever find a dog. In fact, the owners live nearby, and the two dogs roam the country and probably come to the tree to say hello!
There is no Wi-Fi here, but there is a grill, a bathroom, a shower and a small fridge, so I recommend cooking on site and unplugging. Plus, the sounds of nature here are top notch, especially with the “frog dance” that you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that overlooks the tree.
This is a cool looking retreat at the bottom of Dripping Springs, in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. Options here at Lucky Pool Retreat ($10 in Hipcamp for new users) include yurts, cabins and verandas, depending on the size of your group and the experience you’re looking for. If you really want to see, yurts are the best choice for you, as shown in the photo below.
Each can accommodate up to two guests and has access to a shared beach club nearby. For something a little more hotel-like, there are mountain cabins, golden cabins and gallery houses that sleep up to four people and have private bathrooms.
Family-friendly Resorts Near Austin
While this property is dog and cat friendly, you will have to pay a $150 fee per pet, which you can do when you book at the checkout on Hipcampo (who also make sure they put you in the designated pet-friendly rooms).
If you’ve ever wanted to sleep on a converted cruise ship, then the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in Round Top, Texas is what you’ve been looking for. Sit around the fire pit and enjoy some incredible wanderlust, take a dip in the boat dock, and hit the town for the many bargains.
If you really want to have fun, book your stay at the Round Top Antiques Fair (like book in advance, because people come from all over the world to this!). And yes, care is granted for free!
Located near Bastrop, The Reserve at Greenleaf has four luxury yurts to choose from. If you’re bringing your pet, there’s a designated pet-friendly yurt at Lily Copper (get $10 on Hipcamp for new users).
The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center
The yurt sleeps up to 4 guests and comes with amenities like a full-sized private bathroom and access to miles of hiking trails. They also offer guided hikes for an additional $25 at checkout. They also have things like kayak rentals available upon request!
The ranch has 3,232 accommodations in the high country of the Texas mountains with rental cabins, air-conditioned tents, RV sites, campsites, and even a gypsy wagon (for $10 on Hipcampo for new users). The property is also conveniently located in Johnson City, just 1.5 miles from Pedernales State Park, so it’s perfect if you want to hike and explore the state during your stay.
My favorite is the Bird House, with its own little garage, although I would only recommend it for a solo stay (+ dog). It’s a small thing! If you’re looking for something bigger, a large cabin is fine. At the time of writing, the dogs do not receive their tentacles.
It’s always best to check which rooms at each property are pet friendly as sometimes not all rooms are on the property and conditions can change!

Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin features luxury safari-style tents that sleep 3 to 6 people, depending on which tent you prefer (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). They also have some cabins that have their own private hot tub, among other amenities, such as fire pits that every room has.Â
Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, Texas is the perfect place to stay if you’re away in summer! Their accommodations range from tiny houses, tipis, tents, and cabins to RV sites and tents (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, walk near the Guadalupe River, catch a concert at the White Water Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.
If you search for pet friendly, you’ll see that they have a ton of different dog friendly options, like Safari Lodges (my favorite), their premium cabins, and some cabins.
