We spent a wonderful Easter weekend in Semiahmoo in 2019 and I wanted the opportunity to return to its beautiful scenery and secluded beach that Lizzie had enjoyed. Just a short distance from the Canadian border, this quiet resort is a great camp for hiking and spectacular views of the northern Washington coast. They are very dog-friendly, and pups are welcomed with their own clothes, a bed, and (at least during our visit) a souvenir. Information about the dog here.

I love a unique getaway and Winthrop’s Rolling Huts really offered that. These tiny homes were designed by Olson Kundig Architects in Seattle as a modern take on camping. Okay, so it’s not technically available yet, but we’ve already signed up to receive alerts as soon as these amazing camping trailers are released in Olympic National Park. They offer more creature comforts than traditional camping while providing a remote and sustainable way to get out into nature. Granted, Idaho is only a short distance from Seattle, but we could walk anywhere to be in this spiritual place.
