What To Expect When You Adopt Your Adventure Dog — Seattle Bred
Most Washington State parks are pet-friendly, so you don’t have to look far for a good spot.
While I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting every state park yet, here are some of my favorites so far.
This 503 acre park offers so much variety to walk and explore and lots of areas to run and play! On a calm morning, it’s perfect for cats, too!
Located in Puget Sound, this 431-acre park has overnight adventure camping and beach access. When the tide is out, there are so many sandy beaches to explore, as well as several different paths to walk.
7 Dog-friendly Hiking Trails In Singapore To Check Out With Your Pup
A little smaller, but no less fun, Nolte State Park is a 107-acre park with a few smaller trails and a beautiful lake where your pup can play on a hot summer day.
Although I haven’t had the pleasure of photographing cubs at this state park (yet!), today is a great day for a fun day! There is something for everyone on more than 3,854 hectares. Gardens and rocks, beach and trails, camping and much more. Even tidal pools (remember dogs must be outside to protect them)!
There are four national parks in Washington state, and the general rule is that dogs can go where cars go. So there are no paths and no buildings either. But there are some areas and exceptions where your dog can even enter our country’s national parks.
One of my favorite destinations and a great family vacation, Olympic National Park has plenty and even some areas for our furry friends to explore too!

Like all national parks, they do not allow entry into public buildings, interpretive tours, or the wilderness.
Although pets are allowed in the park, their adventure activities are limited to the Pacific Crest Trail only. They are also allowed on a leash at Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas so they can explore a little more.
Like North Cascades National Park, dogs are only allowed on the Pacific Crest Trail portion of the park. If you are camping in the park, you can bring your dog, but it must stay in the campsite on a 6-foot retractable leash.
The most dog-friendly national park includes a collection of historic sites and state parks in Washington and Oregon, and dogs are allowed not only on all trails, but also in the fort’s parade grounds! However, they are prohibited in all public buildings, including the fort replica areas and the visitor center (areas outside the carpeted corridor).

In general, dogs and other pets are allowed on US forest trails with two exceptions. The popular but very fragile Enchantments Trail and Loch Ingalls Trail are two such areas. Most other routes are fine, but as always pets must be securely leashed.
With 1,100 miles of trails, DNR Land is a great choice to explore and enjoy with your dog or other pets. Always check all posted signs, but note that pets are not allowed.
We are blessed with such a variety of well maintained parks here in Washington State. And dogs for rent are welcome in almost all of them! Some of my favorites are Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Marymoore Park in Redmond (which also has a great dog park).

Best Dog Friendly Destinations In Europe
This can be scary for your dog (and it certainly is for any other critters you plan to bring along), so an early morning walk might be a better option, or look at other options.
Does it have a lot of growth benefits, which can be hard on the joints? Are there streams/rivers to cross and is your pet afraid of water? What about boulders or other obstacles? Things that may be simple enough for us humans can be a challenge for some dogs on a walk.
For puppies and older dogs, long walks can be more tiring and can also damage joints and ligaments. Even cats and other small animals do not have adult dogs. Consider a backpack if you really want to take small animals/puppies along or some other route.
