Free Dog Vaccines Near Me 2023
Parvovirus and distemper in dogs and panleukopenia in cats are among the deadly diseases affecting pets that can be prevented with a simple vaccine. About 30% of pet owners do not take their pet to the vet each year. To address this pressing need, we’re partnering with Petco Love to make pet vaccinations free and accessible to ensure the health and well-being of our beloved pets.

PEThood of GA aims to foster 3,000 pets through this effort. In addition to providing free shelter to visitors to the Duluth facility, they held a free outreach event in Habersham County on Feb. 26 to support an area in need of care.
“Thanks to Petco Love, we are able to provide these important vaccines to pets for free,” said Development Coordinator Lauren Frost. We urge community members to take advantage of this free resource to ensure the health and well-being of animals in our community.”
Vaccines distributed through the Petco Love initiative are the DAPPv Canine and HCP Feline vaccines, which require a vet exam ($15-$25) or surgery when vaccinated.
“It’s tragic when any animal contracts or dies from a preventable disease. Unvaccinated animals fare worse when they enter crowded shelters, where these deadly diseases can spread quickly and lead to death. More so, rising costs and the challenge of saving animal lives.” said Petco Love President Susan Kogut. “By raising more awareness and making this important preventive care more accessible to animals who do not currently receive life-saving vaccines, we can prevent the dangerous spread of disease.”
